Describe the work you do at the Credit Union. Do you enjoy what you do?
Everyday, I go to perhaps the most unique branch in all the Credit Union. The Rosemead office is located inside of Southern California Edison's main headquarters. I get to help members from all over Edison - retirees to top executives. I'm here to provide them with the best products and services we have to offer. I absolutely love what I do and the ability to positively impact the lives of our members and their families is a great privilege. As the branch manager of Rosemead, I ensure that our members' financial needs are met and they receive the highest level of member service possible. My team is the face of the Credit Union for a very important employee group and I strive to "wow" everyone I come in contact with. I truly have a rewarding position with the Credit Union.
How did you come to be an SCE FCU employee? What's your background experience?
I started my career in the banking industry with a big bank. A close friend, who had previously been my manager, was hired as the Irwindale branch manager and let me know a position for an assistant manager was available and I should apply. The Credit Union's philosophy of people before profits and the focus on serving our members and not shareholders really appealed to me, and I've been here ever since. At the bank I had worked my way up from teller to operations manager and was well versed in all aspects of the banking world. This experience helped me tremendously in my new position in the Credit Union and I was able to make the seamless transition.
How do you spend your free time? Are you married? Do you have kids, pets, hobbies, life goals, etc?
I've been married for nine years and have two beautiful kids - a 6-year old daughter and a 4-year old son. I have a wonderful family that I love spending time with. We like to take a family vacation every year and regularly get together with friends and family. I like to listen to music and I love watching baseball. I hope to continue to grow both with my career at SCE FCU and with my family, always looking to be the best person I can be.
Do you have any advice or words of wisdom/inspiration you'd like to share?
Always be positive; always talk, think and act with a smile on your face. Don't let other people dictate your mood. Always represent the best you. The smile you present will change the day for someone who may not be having such a great day.
